A jewel in the crown for Welspun Enterprises, the Delhi Meerut Expressway is India's first 14-lane green expressway and first HAM project, designed to ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time between New Delhi & Uttar Pradesh, and curb pollution in the region.

Completed in a record time of 19 months, this landmark project has been conferred with several prestigious awards, including a Gold Award in 2022, for Excellence in Project Management by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The project was also featured as an 'Engineering Marvel' on History TV18 channel.

The project is a testament to strong government impetus and exceptional project planning and management by NHAI and Welspun Enterprises.

The project has established several industry benchmarks in highway infrastructure and features vertical gardens with drip irrigation, solar panels to generate green energy, LED lights for enhanced visibility and separate lanes for cyclists and pedestrians, amongst others.

The expressway also boasts of several technologically-advanced features such as Intelligent Transport System (ITS), Toll Plaza Management System and Highway Traffic Management System (HTMS) to ensure a smooth and safe journey for commuters.
