An infrastructure developer with a difference, Welspun Enterprises Limited (WEL) is at the forefront of empowering India through essential water and transportation assets and creating lasting value for a spectrum of stakeholders. Backed by a robust balance sheet, strong credit ratings and an asset-light strategy, WEL focusses on delivering high-quality projects that enrich lives and propels India’s growth—with speed, scale and sustainability at the core.
We are dedicated to building resilient, future-ready ecosystems across high-impact sectors such as Water & Wastewater, Tunnelling, Transportation and Oil & Gas. In each of these areas, we continue to innovate and drive excellence, delivering meaningful progress at every touchpoint.
Our technology-driven approach enables us to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable water and wastewater solutions across the entire water cycle - from sourcing and treatment to distribution, recycling, and safe return to nature. This commitment is exemplified by landmark projects such as India’s first multi-storey 418 MLD Wastewater Treatment Facility in Dharavi, Mumbai, and the 2,000 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Bhandup, Mumbai, one of the largest of its kind globally.
To further enhance our capabilities, we are strategically expanding into advanced domains such as micro tunnelling, segment tunnelling, sewer rehabilitation, and water body rejuvenation, strengthened by the acquisition of a majority stake in Welspun Michigan Engineers and their technology joint venture, Welspun SmartOps.
In the Transportation sector, we have successfully delivered over 3,200 lane kilometres of roads and highways, including marquee projects like the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, completed 11 months ahead of schedule. We have also developed India’s widest extradosed cable-stayed bridge over the Ganga River as part of the Aunta–Simaria Road Project. These and several other key assets have significantly boosted connectivity and economic development across the country. In a landmark agreement in 2022, we monetized six completed road assets for over Rs. 9,000 crore, in line with our vision of generating sustainable, value-accretive growth for stakeholders.
WEL also holds investments in the upstream oil and gas business through a Joint Venture company, Adani Welspun Exploration Limited (AWEL), supporting the Government’s vision of transitioning towards a gas-based economy.
With ESG at the heart of our operations, WEL remains committed to sustainable business operations across its projects and functions.
