Aligning with the Group's vision of 'Har Ghar Se Har Dil Tak Welspun', the project is aimed to ensure supply of clean, drinking water to 40 lakh beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh
Part of the 'Har Ghar Nal Se Jal' scheme under the prestigious Jal Jeevan Mission of Government of India, the project involves development of end-to-end infrastructure for supply of water to over 2,500 villages in five districts of Ayodhya, Varanasi and Meerut.
As part of this project, Welspun Enterprises has designed water supply systems and is constructing over 1,000 tube wells with solar-powered Pump Houses, Package Chlorination Plants, Elevated Service Reservoirs, and laying 15,000 km of pipelines along with 6 lakh House Service Connections.
The project will help in capacity building and generation of numerous employment opportunities for the local populace, especially during the operation & maintenance phase
In line with our focus on ESG, we are installing solar panels totaling to 27 MW across project sites to offset grid electricity required by pumping stations to distribute water.
