Sub-Concession Agreement executed; project under execution
MSIDC awarded the project on 29 April 2026. At approximately Rs.7,300 crore it doubled Welspun Enterprises' average order value and took the consolidated order book to a record ~Rs.20,000 crore.
The 53.4 km corridor on NH-753F includes around 36 km of elevated highway and will cut Pune-Shirur travel time from about two hours to 45 minutes.
The Sub-Concession Agreement was executed on 13 July 2026, followed by the Bhumi Poojan in Pune in the presence of Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Smt. Sunetra Pawar, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The 29-year sub-concession includes four years of construction from the Appointed Date. The topographic survey is complete and the geotechnical survey is under way.
The corridor improves access across Wagholi, Kharadi, Lonikand, Ranjangaon and Shikrapur, supporting industrial growth and lower logistics costs in one of Maharashtra's fastest-growing economic corridors.
