Welspun Enterprises received the LoA for the 910 MLD Panjrapur Water Treatment Plant in November 2025

02.

Located at BMC's Panjrapur Complex, the facility will augment treatment capacity for Mumbai's growing suburban and extended metropolitan regions. On completion of Panjrapur together with Bhandup, Welspun Enterprises will treat over 50% of the fresh water supplied to India's financial capital.

03.

The Bhoomi Poojan and groundbreaking ceremony were held on 8 May 2026. Enabling works and basic engineering activities have commenced.

04.

The scope is fully integrated - civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works together with a treated-water sump and pumping station, under a design-build framework of 48 months followed by a 15-year operations and maintenance commitment.

05.

The plant is being developed in collaboration with Veolia, a global leader in water technologies, integrating advanced treatment solutions for high-throughput performance, consistent water quality and energy-efficient operations.
